This two-day workshop offers you a roadmap to achieving authentic and engaging performances in games through Voice and Pcap. It allows you to immerse yourself in a comprehensive journey from casting and preparation to collaborative staging, as we delve into the nuances of Pcap and Unreal Game Engine, offering an insight into the dynamic world of directing for immersive performances.
Day one is dedicated to the casting and preparation required for a Performance Capture (Pcap) shoot. From the casting process through rehearsals to shooting, participants will navigate through the initial steps, including pre-shoot preparation, the rehearsal process, and warm-ups.
Day two delves into the collaborative aspects of directing, walking participants through the staging process thinking about Cinematography in Pcap. Practical group exercises will allow participants hands-on collaboration with actors. The day concludes with a discussion of the group work, Q&A session, and wrap-up.
Participants will acquire a comprehensive guide to obtaining great performances in voice over and Pcap for games and basic understanding of the difference between traditional filmmaking and working in Unreal Game Engine.
This event is tailored for directors seeking to refine their skills, as well as animators, writers, and producers with a keen interest in the dynamic world of directing actors in Voice over and Pcap performance. It is also possible for actors to attend the course.
