Contracts and agreement are crucial to all audiovisual production. This EPI on-demand workshop is designed in collaboration with German training provider Erich Pommer Institute who has great experience in legal training for film professionals.
The number of contributors to a film or series is large. Between an idea and a distributed audio-visual production, producers are confronted with a variety of very different interests that creatives, production, financing and sales partners bring to the table. In order to protect their interests, producers need to understand and be able to execute a variety of different agreements and contracts, while understanding the interests of the other party as well as knowing their legal rights and obligations.
This tailor-made workshop offers a deep dive into the essentials of most agreements relevant to any audiovisual production, from development and clearing underlying rights for the film or series, through financing and actual production to sales and distribution. The participating producers will be provided with the necessary tips and hands-on tools to handle different and complex contracts with confidence.
The workshop is aimed at producers, production managers and lines producers with at least one film / series credit or other professionals with contracting responsibilities.
The workshop is a collaboration between Erich Pommer Institute and the National Film school of Denmark. Supported by The Danish Film Institute.
