Join us for an exclusive masterclass with Bill Kinder, who founded Pixar’s Editorial and Post Production Department and led the department for many years on films such as “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles,” “Cars,” “Ratatouille,” “Wall-E,” and “Up.” He will share his insights into working as an editor and in post-production with a focus on animated films.

Veteran filmmaker Bill Kinder will share his passion for the art and craft of editing, with specific examples from his varied international career in film and television. Whether working in live action, animation, or documentary, editing can make or break a film. With an emphasis on strategies for storyboarding and animatics, Kinder will discuss the role of the editor in creating emotionally impactful storytelling.

For 18 years, Bill Kinder led Pixar’s Editorial and Post Production Department on some of the studio’s biggest and most highly acclaimed films. He also co-authored the book Making the Cut at Pixar: The Art of Editing Animation, which describes the editor’s unique central role in Pixar’s productions.
