On Friday, May 8th, Raphael will give a masterclass in which he shares his insights from the recent Oscar campaign for The Girl With the Needle. The masterclass is open to all, but participants in the workshop on Saturday, May 9th, are automatically registered for the masterclass, as the workshop builds directly on it.
The workshop offers an in-depth exploration of strategies for positioning a film in both the global and U.S. markets to ensure the best possible chances at awards and festivals such as the Oscars and Cannes.

Workshop for film professionals who wishes to take a deep dive into how a film is best positioned at Cannes and the Oscars. The participants will learn how they position themselves in the foreign language market as well as the US.

The masterclass is for everybody interested in strategies for positioning a film for awards and festivals. The Workshop is targeted industry professionals, who wish to gain deeper knowledge on how to position their films on both US and global markets.

Workshop participants, who work professionally in the Danish film industry, can apply for financial funding from the Danish Film Institute’s pool for continuous training and competence development. The funding is for those, who work or have worked professionally in the Danish film industry and the people who have a relevant education in film production.
