The National Film School of Denmark welcomes Think-Film Impact Production for an exclusive two-day workshop where you can learn how to harness the unique power of film to drive meaningful social change. Design impact strategy, assess risks for your project, engage with industry experts, and kickstart your journey towards becoming a catalyst for positive transformation through film.

Think-Film Impact Production is Europe’s leading impact production company, operating at the cutting-edge intersection of film and social change. With extensive experience at the highest levels of law, policy, and film, and with credits including Oscar nominee “Black Box Diaries”, Oscar and BAFTA winner “Navalny” (CNN Films / Warner Media), Emmy and Peabody winner “The Territory” (National Geographic), and legacy Hollywood feature “Dark Waters” (Participant, starring Mark Ruffalo), Think-Film has extensive experience in training and equipping filmmakers on how to embed strategic impact into their projects and drive meaningful change, adding real-world value to development, production, and distribution.

This two-day interactive workshop introduces participants to Think-Film’s Impact Pyramid™ strategy approach, uses interactive activities to bring theory to life and gives practical tools to kickstart your impact campaign. Participants apply learnings in a supportive setting as they think about opportunities, partners, and more, and begin to prepare an impact strategy of their own.

Programme:

PRE-WORKSHOP: Impact Masterclass (90 minutes with Q&A)

Introduction to Impact Production to gain foundational knowledge on impact, its importance and value through case studies delivered virtually by Think-Film.

DAY 1: Developing Your Impact Vision

The first part of the workshop is dedicated for Participants to delve into the essence of their project and develop their impact vision that can be effectively presented.

BREAK

The day progresses with the introduction of the trademarked TFIP Impact Pyramid framework.

LUNCH

Participants continue to work on their impact strategy guided by Think-Film and present them with open discussion and feedback to encourage co-creative support.

DAY 2: Expanding and Communicating Your Impact Vision

Participants expand and communicate their impact vision by identifying and discussing potential impact partners and developing impact loglines for their projects.

BREAK

After the break participants will take part in individual or small group coaching sessions for tailored advice. The workshop will conclude with participants reflecting on their learnings and sharing actionable steps to advance their projects.

Application deadline: 09. February

Workshop participants, who work professionally in the Danish film industry, can apply for financial funding from the Danish Film Institute’s pool for continuous training and competence development. The funding is for those, who work or have worked professionally in the Danish film industry and the people who have a relevant education in film production.
