Leadership in the Age of AI: Transforming Film, TV and Media

AI is rapidly redefining how content is conceived, produced and experienced across film, TV and media. This course, grounded in the work of Adrian Johnson, Adjunct Professor at INSEAD and founder of the AI-driven education platform Qinect, examines how leaders can use data-driven decision-making, automation and predictive analytics to enhance creativity, streamline operations and strengthen strategic judgement.

Through real cases from film, television and streaming, participants explore how AI is reshaping commissioning, audience prediction, budgeting, workflows and distribution, and take part in an immersive simulation set inside a fast-growing production company undergoing a full AI transformation.

The course develops three core learning objectives. First, to understand how data-driven insights are reshaping development, commissioning, audience prediction and project selection. Second, to explore how automation enhances creative pipelines, from pre-production to distribution, and what new capabilities are required from leaders managing hybrid human-AI processes. Third, to apply predictive analytics for forecasting demand, optimising budgets and navigating uncertainty in rapidly shifting media markets. Across all modules, the focus is on how leaders must evolve: from intuition-led decision makers to adaptive, analytically fluent and technologically confident orchestrators of creative and operational excellence.
