In this two-day in-person workshop, filmmakers Sebastian Ungrad and Albert Bozesan will introduce students to the professional generative AI software ComfyUI. Participants will go from the basics of node-based image generation to advanced video creation with maximum control and consistency.

By combining elements of traditional VFX suites with cutting-edge generative tech, they will learn how to integrate AI into existing production pipelines and deliver reliable high-quality results.This course requires a working knowledge of After Effects or Fusion and some experience generating AI images or videos using services like Freepik, Midjourney or similar.

Program

March 7:
On day one, participants will be introduced to the basic functions of the node-based interface ComfyUI and create images and videos themselves

March 8:
On day two, participants will be tasked with creating an advanced ComfyUI workflow, then integrating footage of a real actor into a synthetic AI environment of their choice.

This workshop is for film professionals looking to implement AI in their storytelling. The course requires participants to have some working knowledge of After Effects or Fusion as well as experience with generating AI images or videos.

Workshop participants, who work professionally in the Danish film industry, can apply for financial funding from the Danish Film Institute’s pool for continuous training and competence development. The funding is for those, who work or have worked professionally in the Danish film industry and the people who have a relevant education in film production.
