The event explores the artistic visions, leadership, and professional journeys of women working behind the camera in an industry undergoing rapid change. Through masterclasses, case studies, and panel discussions, participants will gain insight into both the creative processes and the structural realities shaping European cinema today.
Although female directors continue to produce work of outstanding artistic quality, women still direct only around 25% of European feature films. Visions & Voices highlights both achievements and ongoing challenges, creating space for conversations about innovation, representation, and the future development of the film industry.
The programme is aimed at filmmakers, students, producers, and anyone interested in film and visual storytelling. Throughout the day, leading voices from across the European film sector will share their experiences and perspectives, while offering opportunities for dialogue, networking, and knowledge exchange.
The event will take place at the Danish National Film School in Copenhagen from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and is organised in collaboration with the Danish National Film School, Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Denmark, WIFT Denmark, the Danish Film Directors Association, Institut Français, and PRD Kulturplus funding.
